Level 2 TQUK Functional Skills Qualification in English at Level 2 (Distance Learning)

Course Overview

Why study this course?

English is an essential part of everyday life, whether you want to help a young person with their homework, improve your written and verbal communication skills or progress academically or professionally. Many adults looking to progress, academically or professionally, are now required to have a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification or equivalent.

The Level 2 English course is designed to equip you with the skills to meet the requirements of Employers or higher education study.

Functional Skills qualifications are widely recognised by employers and institutions as a suitable alternative to GCSE. Many employers were involved in designing the reformed Functional Skills qualifications, to address gaps in skills and knowledge needed for the workplace.

    Considerations

When considering if the distance learning route is for you! Think about whether you feel studying a course which is Auto Marked is best! It has many benefits, such as studying at a time to suit you (within the deadlines), studying at home, and taking your final assessment at home.
However, there is not a tutor attached to this course, so think about if you would benefit from having a tutor at hand?

If you would, then you will need to apply for a day or evening class at Halesowen College. Please make sure that Functional Skills is appropriate for your chosen progression route before enrolling.
